Around 2350 pigeons from the eastern and south-eastern part of the country will take part in the Malta Derby 2019. They will be collected on Wednesday, July 10, from the centers of the three areas announced by the organizers, and on Saturday, July 13, they will have place launch. The Pigeon 360 team will reward this year the performances of the Romanian pigeon fanciers, so that the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places from this stage, all in general (launch), will be awarded with quality products from Beyers and Dr. Peeters. It will also give the breeder who will get the best results a pigeon of the four-time world champion Jos Thone.

The three areas of the competition, with the related collection centers:

Zone 1 (Suceava, Botoșani, Iași, Neamț): Rădăuți Center - around 750 pigeons will participate

Zone 2 (Bacău, Vaslui, Vrancea, Galați): Moinești Center - around 600 pigeons will participate
Tecuci Center - about 500 pigeons will participate

Zone 3 (Prahova, Buzău, Brăila, Ilfov, Călărași, Tulcea, Ialomița, Constanța): Mărăcineni Center - around 400 pigeons will participate

Drajna Center - about 100 pigeons will participate

The first ten pigeons in each area will be presented with a video sample

"The first pigeon fancier from Botoșani will have 901 km, and below, in Tecuci for example, there are 1160 km. I think the last pigeon fancier will have around 1300 km. He is the same carrier as last year, an experienced boy. The provisional ranking and the general one will be drawn up by Constantin Banu, CNS member of UCPR. He will also take over the telephone announcements, in order to draw up the provisional ranking, and he will also draw up the final ranking Derby Malta. The pigeons will be reclaimed, and throughout the transport, the car will be accompanied by a C.N.S. member, who will additionally stamp the pigeons on the wing. Mandatory, the first ten pigeons in each area will be presented with video evidence. When the pigeon arrives at the farm, the pigeon fancier will have to make a video with the stamp on the wing and present it to the organizer.

Malta Derby Stage Awards

The cost per pigeon is 10 lei. The ranking will be drawn up both in each distance zone and in general. From the total receipts, after deducting the transport costs, the remaining money will be divided into zones, directly proportional to the number of participating pigeons in each zone. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each area, pigeons and breeders will be awarded with a cup + diploma, and in the general competition (launch), the pigeons will be awarded as follows:

- 1st place: Beyers products worth 300 lei + Dr. Peeters products worth 160 lei

- 2nd place: Beyers products worth 150 lei + Dr. Peeters products worth 125 lei

- 3rd place: Beyers products worth 100 lei + Dr. Peeters products worth 75 lei

The 1st place breeder general competition (launch) will receive an original Jos Thone pigeon offered by www.porumbei360.ro.
