Rudi De Saer has made a name for himself over the years, achieving fantastic results with an excellent group of pigeons. His success story began with the family of pigeons from Dentergem: in the early 1990s Rudi decided to get pigeons from almost every champion in Gaby Vandenabeele's collection. It was an intrinsic success, as these pigeons allowed him to raise the bar and become an international champion in the national long distance races. The descendants of the pigeon breeder from Gaby Vandenabeele are Son Kleinen and the young from Turbo and Wittenbuik.
