Her name is Sorin Cârstea, and in 2018 she became a Master of pigeon sport, managing to win six national awards: 3rd place National Half Fund Palmares 3 years, 2nd place National AS Palmares 2 years, 1st place National AS Palmares 3 years, 2nd place Breeder winner , 1st place As Expo 2018, 3rd place Demifond Expo 2018 and 3rd place The Rider of the Year Speed. In 2019, he will also receive the title of Emeritus Master of pigeon sport. Sorin, when did you start pigeon breeding and how many pigeons do you have in the farm today?

In 2010 I took it seriously, but as a child I had a special relationship with these wonderful birds. I remember that at one point I saw the farm of some neighbors and I remembered that I had pigeons as a child. It was like a revelation, because the next day I asked my grandfather to build me a hut, because I was already preparing to bring pigeons. Gradually, I took pigeons from several people and turned my hut into a real farm. At present, they have a number of 130 pigeons, of which 30 are breeding pairs. The breeding line includes Gaby Vandenabeele, Koopman, Leo Heremans, Van Loon, Jos Cools, Jan van de Pasch ("Lowieke"), Janssen, Sangers, Drapa, Rudi Diels. But this year I stopped for breeding and my champion pigeons.

What flight method do you use?

I compete in total widowhood, both males and females. I think it's one of the best game systems, at least in my farm. And pigeons are very good at this method. I train them very often, two or three times even 4 times a week, but the distances vary depending on how they feel.

Do you use certain pigeon products or a certain food?

Yes, I have been using the full range of Beyers products since 2017. I have read a lot about these products, I have also consulted with my pigeon fancier friends and I can only say that I recommend all breeders to use them with great confidence, because they are of high quality. . I used Amino Plus and Bioflorum Plus the most, from my point of view the best probiotic. I also use Condition Plus, Herba Zyma, Mineral Plus, Chromix and Energy Oil. I am very pleased with how the pigeons evolve after their administration. The price is very ok compared to what we find on the market at the moment, I mean those products about you do not know what they contain exactly or what you administer to pigeons. I'm really glad that someone thought of bringing Beyers products to Romania as well.

How was the 2018 season?

I would say like every year, because I compete in a very strong area with very high breeders. I mean, a very difficult year. But I worked and, I say, I proved that I can cope with this championship. I met all the criteria for the Emeritus Master plaque, I will receive it this year, and I had 19 pigeons proposed for the national exhibition. They entered14 and I won 6 national awards: 2nd place Laureate Breeder, 1st place As Expo 2018, 3rd place Demifond Expo 2018 and 3rd place Breeder of the Year Speed, 3rd place National Demifond Palmares 3 years, 2nd place National AS Palmares 2 years and 1st place National AS Palmares 3 years with the pigeon 834471-2015 M. It is a pigeon reproduced from two flyers of mine, the champion's father is reproduced from a male from Adrian Dobrescu and a female from Ștefănescu Bibi, and the champion's mother, as well, is a flying company that in 2014 was the 14th National Demifond Yearling. This female was introduced to the queen this year, she also competed in 2018, even in the 650 km and 750 km stages, which she ranked. From this pair, we took only one chick and here it was invincible in the AS category, but also in other categories such as AS Speed, AS Demifond, General, Super AS, Record, Demifond.

What other representative awards have you won over the years?

I think the most representative trophy is the title of Master, won this year.

As you can see, I only compete in the Demifond, General and AS Speed ​​stages, all the pigeons are trained by me and bred in my farm. In 2016 we had the 2nd place National Speed ​​and the 1st place UCP Exhibition 2016, with the female 0871112-2013, the 2nd place National AS Yearling 2016 and the 2nd place Nat as 2 years, both with the male 834471-2015.

In 2017 I had the 3rd place National Demifond 2 years, with the female 834500-2015. With the same female we had the 3rd place Balkan 2017 Republic of Moldova, representing the Romanian team.

Also, with the same champion pigeon we obtained the 3rd place National Demifond 3 years, the 7th place General 2 years and the 7th place the national group General 2 years. Pigeon 834500-15 is the father's sister to my champion from Viteza 0871112-13 F. Their father comes from the farm of Mr. Stănescu and Mr. Dobre from Bucharest. It's about the male is 100% Gaby Vandenabeele, which with any female I would pair would breed top pigeons. From this male, in 2018 we had four half-brothers in the exhibition. The mother of the pigeon 834500-15 was bought from my friends Șerban and Neculăescu in 2014, the base is 50% Gaby Vandenabeele and 50% Koopman. The grandmother of the female 834500-15, the pigeon 570045-2008, also reproduced some champions in the farms of Messrs. Cocos and Musat, Cazacu Alexandru, Petre Nicolae, Șerban and Neculăescu. In this way, I really thank them for this female.

What are you thinking of preparing for next season?

In 2019 I start with big thoughts. I want to improve my results even more than in 2018, which is why I stopped all my champion pigeons for breeding. I hope to succeed with other pigeons what I have achieved with them. I wish all breeders a year as good as possible and with appropriate results.
