The first edition of the U. C. P. R Provincial Exhibition East and South-East 2018 has ended successfully. More than a hundred breeders from Moldova gathered, between November 23 and 25, in Dărmănești, Bacău County, to present their best pigeons, but also to exchange opinions and advice with those with whom they share the same passion. . As a sign of respect for the celebration of the year - the Centenary of the Great Union - in the opening of the exhibition, the pigeon lovers present sang the national anthem "Wake up Romanians!". In the evening, during the award ceremony, over 100 trophies were awarded, singing, dancing and a promise were made: the event will be a tradition and will be organized, from now on, in the coming years.

The Provincial Exhibition U. C. P. R East and South-East area started at 09:00 and was opened by Emil Bondilă, president of the Union of Professional Pigeon Fellows in Romania. He thanked the breeders present and the local authorities, who agreed to support the event: "Thank you all for participating. I also thank the mayor Constantin Toma, of Dărmănești, for making this room available to us. we want to make this pigeon fancier a tradition and to organize it every year, for all the inhabitants and breeders of the Moldova area ". The event then continued with the singing of the national anthem and a few words from the mayor and the organizers.

"Visitors were very receptive, for us they were a surprise"

The large number of visitors and the positive reactions of the pigeon breeders about this exhibition also surprised the organizers, who admitted that they had some emotions before the event. "Everything went as we wanted. Over a hundred breeders participated in over 70 categories. There were about 400-450 pigeons and we awarded the first in each category, pigeons that obtained on average 40-45 penalty points, but I specify that there were categories in which the pigeons had a higher score and in others, a lower score.Visitors were very receptive, warm, for us they were really a surprise. of visitors, which, I say, is very good. At the festive table there were about 150 people, which is also a very good thing for us. We are somewhere in the middle of the numbers at the national exhibition, but we have to we also take into account that in our country it was provincial, a somewhat restricted area. So, it was not good, but very good ", said Dan Matache, the president of the ASC Voiajorul Tecuci Club, involved in organizing this exhibition.

Impressions of the exhibition: "good organization, warm in the hall and well-arranged stands"

The visitors present at the exhibition appreciated the detailed organization of the event, especially since important details were taken into account, ignored at other exhibitions of this type. "Overall, it was a beautiful, well-organized event. I liked that they sat nicely in the hall and that it was warm. There are two important aspects, because, I tell you honestly, I went to other exhibitions and I froze. If you want to see the head-to-tail exhibition, to understand something of it, to analyze some of the pigeons, you need a few hours. places I, II and III, want to see whose they are, what flights they made, what numbers of pigeons, what scores they have ... It takes about 10 minutes for each pigeon and that's how about five hours pass. "In the hall, you have no patience. You leave everything and you leave. It was ugly, if you go to such an exhibition twice and you find something like that, clearly you don't go after that. As a recommendation for the future, I would like to see pigeons with lower scores in the exhibition, because if those with high scores always arrive and pigeon lovers do not see the champions, it is strange, they become disinterested ", said the pigeon breeder Elisei Eacobuță, present at the Provincial Exhibition UCP R East and South-East area.
